We here at Guy Skinny would like to congratulate Skate Team Rider Nora “Nars” Vasconcellos on her 2nd place overall finish at last weekends 3 day Florida Skate Comp. The three days consisted of three towns, Kona, New Smyrna, and Cocoa Beach with three different bowls. Nora splashed on the scene at last years  Bowl comp in Portland, OR where Nora had the same impressive placing. Nora is just now starting to get noticed in the U.S. as a serious shredder who will be sure to make her mark in 09′. This was just the beginning and we couldn’t be any prouder of her! Nora brings new meaning to the phrase, “Shreddin’ the Gnar!”  HaHa! Keep on Shreddin’ Nars, you rock!  -WIZ

Guy Skinny has just under 400 friends on FaceBook from all over the world, many are skateparks and retail stores, and many are guys who just want SKINNY PANTS!!!. If you know any skateparks or retail stores be sure to let them know that we want to add them as a special friend on FaceBook!

Guy Skinny now has 51 friends and we only started yesterday! This our 108th blog, and the first one of 2009! The Guy Skinny team would like to thank everyone for blogging last year, it helped us to stay in touch with our supporters and fans. First on the agenda: I came across an interesting article at the end of 08′ that referred to a statistic titled: “What form of advertising do people trust” the number one form of advertising people trust (according to this statistic) #1st place: Email from people you know! (sounds fair) Guess what was in last place? Company Blog!……..WHAAAAT?

Of course we’re not going to take that sitting down, and we’re relying on you to give us your honest truth….Here’s the big question we pose: Do you trust us?

Today we open the cages and unleash the ferocious jeans to the panting public!…….How’s that for an opening line? Ok we know, a little extra drama for this snowy day can only help. The Guy Skinny team is juiced for tonight!!!! for those of you who can’t be there, we have a professional videographer for nasty footage and we have the great photographer Peter Fortin directing a photo shoot so there will be plenty of media for upcoming blogs, we have an idea in the works to release the first Guy Skinny Promo DVD filmed entirely at the event for retailers, distributors and friends.
